Which Floraïku Fragrance Is Right for Me? A Selector Guide

Floraïku fragrance selector guide — which one is right for you?

The Floraïku Question

Floraïku is one of the most consistently praised houses in our selection — and also one of the most difficult to navigate for a first-time buyer. The compositions are quiet and skin-close by design, which means they don't announce themselves immediately. You need to wear them to understand them. And with eight fragrances in the collection, the question of where to start is genuinely non-trivial.

This guide is designed to solve that problem. Answer the questions below and follow the path that fits. All Floraïku fragrances are available to try as samples or in the Discovery Set at FND SCENTS in Palma de Mallorca.

Start Here: What Do You Want from a Fragrance?

Option A — I want something other people notice

Floraïku may not be the right house for you. These fragrances are designed for personal wear — skin-close, intimate, meant for the wearer rather than the room. If projection and sillage are your primary criteria, look at Room 1015, Lorenzo Pazzaglia, or Tomavicci instead. If you're open to something more personal, continue.

Option B — I want something that feels like my skin, but better

You're in the right place. This is exactly what Floraïku does. Continue to the questions below.

The Floraïku Selector

Question 1: What season are you shopping for?

Spring or early summer → Spring River or And Your Lips

High summer → Sand and Skin

Autumn or transition → Between Two Trees — Dark Shadow or Gong

Year-round → One Umbrella for Two or Sleeping on the Roof — Light Shadow

Question 2: What's your relationship with florals?

I love florals, they're my natural territory → Sand and Skin (musky-solar floral) or Spring River (aquatic floral)

I like florals when they're not too obvious → And Your Lips (intimate, skin-close floral) or Sleeping on the Roof — Light Shadow (woody-luminous)

I'm not sure I like florals → Gong (incense-wood, barely floral) or Between Two Trees — Dark Shadow (resinous, contemplative)

Question 3: What mood do you want to create?

Calm and meditative → Gong — incense, warm wood, and a stillness that's almost spiritual

Light and luminous → Spring River or Sleeping on the Roof — Light Shadow

Warm and tender → One Umbrella for Two — white chocolate, matcha, and the closeness of sharing an umbrella

Sensual and intimate → Sand and Skin or And Your Lips

Dark and mysterious → Between Two Trees — Dark Shadow

The Floraïku Fragrances — Full Guide

Sand and Skin — The Bestseller

The fragrance that converts the most people to Floraïku. Azucena de arena, jasmine and solar musks in a composition that smells like warm skin in summer sun. It's the most immediately accessible Floraïku — not because it's simple (it isn't), but because the feeling it creates is instantly recognisable: that particular warmth of skin that's been in the sun all day. Start here if you've never tried Floraïku and you're uncertain.

Best for: Summer · everyday wear · first Floraïku · anyone who's been told they smell good on a warm day

Gong — The Convert-Maker

The fragrance that turns casual buyers into Floraïku collectors. Gong is built around incense, warm wood and a deep meditative musk that develops over hours on skin. The opening is quiet; by the third hour it becomes one of the most compelling drydowns in our entire selection. If you're choosing between Floraïku fragrances and you can only try one, make it Gong — it shows the house at its most distinctive.

Best for: Evening · meditation · anyone bored with conventional niches · autumn and winter · those who want longevity in a quiet fragrance

One Umbrella for Two — The Warmth

Floraïku's most distinctly Japanese composition — matcha tea, black currant, white chocolate and warm musks in a gourmand-floral that's sweet without being sugary. The name captures everything: the intimacy of two people sharing one umbrella in the rain. A cold-weather fragrance above all others, but beautiful on the skin in any season when you want something that feels like a hug.

Best for: Autumn · winter · cosy occasions · gift for someone who doesn't normally wear fragrance · those who want gourmand without sweetness

Spring River — The Freshness

Water in movement, green and mineral, with a delicacy that captures the specific quality of early spring. Spring River is Floraïku's freshest and most airy composition — unisex, light, with the kind of clean naturalness that's harder to achieve than it looks. The most aquatic fragrance in the collection, and the best for daily wear in spring.

Best for: Spring · everyday wear · unisex · those who want freshness without aquatic clichés

And Your Lips — The Intimate

The most personal fragrance in the Floraïku collection — a skin-close floral that barely exists as a fragrance in the conventional sense, more as an intensification of your own skin. Intimate, slightly powdery in the base, completely private. This is a fragrance you wear for yourself, discovered close-up rather than announced at a distance.

Best for: Daily wear · those who want fragrance without others noticing · anyone who finds most florals too loud · quiet occasions

Sleeping on the Roof — Light Shadow — The Airy

Soft woods and clean musks in a composition that feels like summer air at dusk. Light Shadow is the Floraïku fragrance for warm evenings — not heavy enough to be a night fragrance, too warm to be purely daytime. It captures the specific quality of the sky just after sunset: luminous, warm, the day still present in the air.

Best for: Summer evenings · unisex · those who want amaderado without weight · warm climates

Between Two Trees — Dark Shadow — The Depth

The counterpart to Light Shadow — the same forest, the same moment, but seen when the darkness has settled. Resinous, slightly smoky, with a depth that makes it the most winter-appropriate Floraïku. Not heavy in the way orientals are heavy, but with a presence that Light Shadow doesn't attempt. For those who want Floraïku's precision applied to something darker.

Best for: Autumn · evening · those who want amaderado-oscuro with restraint

Flying South — The Journey

The most recent addition to the Floraïku collection — a fragrance about movement and instinct, the pull toward warmth when seasons change. True to the house's DNA: skin-close, poetic, and rewarding for those who spend time with it. The full character reveals itself after the first hour on skin.

Best for: Collectors · those who want the newest Floraïku · transition seasons
